Weather Policy
Your safety is always our highest priority. Fishing trips operate in light rain and normal marine conditions. Only the Captain may determine whether weather or sea conditions are unsafe. If the Captain cancels due to weather or safety concerns, guests may:
Reschedule for the next available date.
Guests choosing not to fish when the Captain determines conditions are safe will be considered voluntary cancellations.
Cancellation Policy Due to our short season and limited amount of days to work, all bookings are expected to fulfill their commitment and only the Captain can cancel trips for bad weather, in which case the deposit will be used for a future trip. No-shows are responsible for the full charter fee.
We understand emergencies happen and will make every reasonable effort to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.
Fishing Regulations All fishing is conducted in accordance with current New York State and Federal fishing regulations. Season dates, bag limits, and size limits are subject to change. Protected or undersized fish must be released immediately. Captain Sloan reserves the right to modify target species or fishing locations based on current regulations, weather, and fishing conditions to provide the best possible experience.
Catch Expectations
Fishing is a wild outdoor activity. While Captain Sloan's decades of local knowledge dramatically increase your chances of success, no charter can guarantee a specific number or size of fish. Our commitment is to provide the best opportunity possible using professional equipment, local expertise, and proven fishing techniques.

Guests are welcome to bring food, snacks, and beverages. Alcohol is permitted in moderation for guests who are 21 years of age or older. For the safety of everyone aboard:
